Hi All, I’m quite confused about my boss’s behaviour recently, and don’t know what he really wanted to express.
I’m going to resign soon and going back home because my current work permit expires soon. We have an office in my home country, so I was asking for a transfer back home.
After my boss talked to HR, he told me: Let’s talk about the transfer when your work permit expires. I guess that means a transfer back home was denied, that’s fine. So I told my boss since I’m leaving, I’ll train the new hire up. We already have a new hire because another coworker quit.
Every time I mention about leaving or resignations, he told me not to think about it. But how can I not be prepared for it since I need to pack up and cancel all services/lease etc. and I’m debating whether to hand in my two weeks earlier than planned. Is my boss trying to stop me from being disengaged here?
