One of the most eye-opening experiences during this prolonged job search has been realizing that help often comes from the people you least expect, while those you once supported through referrals, resume feedback, or career advice are often silent. This isn’t about entitlement. It’s simply a reflection.
When I worked at a well-known global company, I went out of my way to help friends, acquaintances, and strangers land interviews. I had gone through a period of unemployment early in my career, and it was incredibly difficult. I promised myself that if I were ever in a position to help, I would, and I fully intend to do so again once I’m employed.
If you’re in a position to support someone who’s job hunting, whether through a referral, a conversation, or simply encouragement, it can mean more than you know.
Good luck to everyone still on the job hunt.
