More or less the post title. The job market is garbage, as much as we'd all like to get a job offer tomorrow and start on Monday, things don't work that way.
So to the people on the hunt, what are you doing in the meantime?
Teaching yourself a new skill?
Dedicating time to personal projects?
Trying to put together a game plan to navigate these turbulent times instead of aimlessly stumbling about?
The fabled networking?
Trying your hand at entrepreneurship?
Just trying to take a bit of a mental health break before hopping back in so the search doesn't sap away all of your hope?
Something else entirely?
I am curious as to how people are (more or less) coping in a time when we are all more or less forced to stand still until things change and companies no longer feel hiring is such a great risk that they don't want to do it.
After all (and I am no economist), I imagine the general economic uncertainty we've been living in lately doesn't make it easy to look several years ahead as far as hiring people and investing in them as employees go.
