Just got terminated today. Both myself(server admin and network administrator) and the lead developer. Me (7 years with the company) , the lead developer 10 years with the company. Started both of us to get access revoked emails in various systems. Then followed up with a call from the CEO.
What bothers is not why i got terminated, because i do understand that from a business perspective but still it sort of hurts to part ways. We were both replaced with the Anthropic subscription, and the CEO seems to want the business head over the fully AI mode... finance is scheduled for next week, so that dept is also going to be affected.
Call was pretty straight forward, we are doing major budget cuts. - was the theme.
Yeah...i knew it was coming ...the writting was on the wall. But yeah... time to look for something else.
