I'd recently applied for an opening with a world renown athletic brand & after completing a virtual interview last night, I received a phone call this morning and verbally accepted an offer, only to have it rescinded a couple hours later due to the manager stating that he wasn't sure if I'd be a great fit due to my availability.
For context, I currently have a full-time job, and my plan was to balance both roles, as this position would have been an additional 25–30 hours per week. I explicitly discussed my full-time gig during the interview, which appears to have been glossed over, as the role was offered despite my stated availability.
After following up with the manager a few hours ago, he stated they chose to move forward with someone who could start immediately, despite previously asking if I could start within two weeks. He advised me to continue applying. Last night’s interview was my fifth with the company. This makes me not want to apply with the company anymore despite being a huge fan of their products. Just venting I guess tbh ... One job really isn't enough
