I posted here a while ago after I was fired from a job only 5 weeks after starting. I was pretty devastated when I made that post and honestly had no idea what I was going to do next.
So I wanted to come back with a happier update.
I GOT A JOB. 😭
I was offered a full-time position and I start October 13th!
It has been a rough few months. I've applied to so many jobs, had interviews that went nowhere, lost out on opportunities because I don't have a vehicle anymore, and there were definitely times where I felt like I wasn't going to get out of this.
But I finally got someone to give me a chance.
I still have a few things I need to get sorted before I start. I need to get my TB test completed, get my police record check, get a bus pass so I can actually get to and from work, and find some business casual clothes. I also need to get some groceries/lunch stuff to get me through the first couple weeks until I actually get paid.
Some people may remember that I ended up making a GoFundMe because I was falling so far behind. The money I've received from it has helped me catch up on rent and bills, get necessities and get my medications again. I'm seriously grateful to everyone who has helped.
I'm leaving it up for now because I could still really use some help getting through these last expenses before starting work and making it to that first paycheque.
