Unemployment isnt the enemy, its the waiting game

Being out of work isn’t automatically a bad thing. A few months off can feel like freedom time to rest, reflect, or even rediscover hobbies. The real challenge is the uncertainty, not knowing when the next role will come. That constant question in the back of your mind turns what could be rest into stress.

And even with job-hunting platforms like LinkedIn, JobHuntr, Indeed, and Glassdoor, the waiting game is tough. You can apply, network, and tailor your CV, but the silence between callbacks is what wears you down.

It feels unfair that you’re judged whether you have a job or not. Searching becomes its own punishment, and the fear of 'when will this end?' overshadows everything. The downtime could be a gift, but uncertainty makes it heavy.
