They sent the interview email within 3 hours of the interview.

I applied for this research assistant position at a research institute. It's right up my domain, so I was excited about it initially. I had applied a week later than the deadline, but I still got the mail to attend 3 sessions of weekend lectures, where they would "assess my research interests and critical thinking skills" through my interactions with the speakers before the interview. In this email, they hadn't specified the time of the interview.

I attended the sessions yesterday and actively participated in them. I hadn't planned to attend today's session as I couldn't see any other candidates in yesterday's sessions. In fact there were hardly any participants in the talk other than the organisers and the speakers. And the quality of the talk was mediocre at best. They don't even have a website, they are not on Google Maps, and I couldn't find people who worked there on LinkedIn.

Now, I got this email, I just saw it and I am not at all ready for the interview. It's a Sunday too, and I have just woken up. What do I do? If they had the interview any other day, I would still have attended it just to see what it's about and what the salary is. But now, I'm not sure. I am also desperate for a job.
