Just when the corporate world couldn't be any more of a scam. I was just reached out personally by a recruiter on LinkedIn for a position on their operations team. Not only did it pay less than my current job, but their office hours ran from 7 AM - 5 PM from Monday to Friday. If it paid hourly then I wouldn't be so mad since there's overtime pay, but this was a salaried role. You are working an extra 10 hours for free, what a scam.
That reminds me, no wonder why people are pushing so hard for the four day work week. It seems like the 9-5 died a few years before the pandemic and got replaced with a 9-6 schedule. Now employers are trying to make 9-6 the norm. Makes no sense.
