As title says I started a new job a week ago. I have been training since then and things are not what I expected. While the base pay is about 12% higher, the bonus sounds like it will end up being 30-45% lower based on the average bonus other employees in my position are receiving (and the bonus is roughly 1/3 total pay). It will end up in roughly a 10-20k pay decrease. I was told the bonus would end up being about the same as my current bonus during the interview.
Furthermore, after training I have realized the tech is dated and a lot of automated stuff is done manually with forms, the company is fairly disorganized and small, and they appear to have no current plan for me in terms of what team I will be paired with, hours to work, etc. It’s all red flags.
I should be to get my previous my back no problem. My question is, will the new employer frown on this? I am sure they won’t be happy, but the lower pay and disorganization makes me realize my previous employer was much better.
