I had 2 interviews this week and both went really well.
1st one I did was at a country club as a sous chef and I went to the back and met everyone and walked around the kitchen and everything. I was the only one they took to the back to meet the crew. He said “you’ll hear from me by Friday for sure.” So I got the email and in the email it said that I was the top applicant, not because of my experience but because of my personality, and also part of my experience as well. But the general manager said that he couldn’t hire me due to me not having experience specifically as a sous chef. I told the guy that I do have experience in a kitchen and being a lead/manager and he said “I wanted to hire you but it’s the higher ups who don’t want to.”
2nd one was for a Nashville chicken place and he already gave me the plans about how training would work and where I would do it at and everything was basically set in stone. He said that “I’ll give you a call by Friday to go over it more,” and then I got the email saying I didn’t get the job and that it was a “hard decision.”
I really need a job man. I have been to more than 7 or 8 interviews in the last 2 weeks and they all say I do great, and I ask if they need me to clarify anything or if they had any concerns about my resume and they said that everything was perfect. Like come on.
