I recently applied for a Databricks Architect role. After completing an inital AI assessment, I immediatly got an automated demanding that I enter my professional refrenes into a third-party screening platfrom(SkillSurvey).
I haven't even had a 15-minute conversation with a single real human no recruiter no hiring manager nobody.
I feel like asking candidates to burn through their network's goodwill before the company has even invested time to speak with them is completely out of line. I ended up emailing them to withdraw my application and let them know why.
Has anyone else seen sompanies pull this lately? I this becoming the new normal for tech roles?
