I'm an emerging professional in the GLAM ( galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) field and was just rejected after doing 5 rounds of interviews for a full-time position I really wanted. I prepared and put so much time and effort into each round. I had my best in-person interview(s) ever to date and had great references and colleagues who closely worked with/knew folks at this other institution personally vouch for me. It just feels so disappointing.
Side note, is 5 rounds pretty standard for most folks out there?
