I recently graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Science and can’t land a job in some basic IT position that I honestly don’t even really want to do but feel I have to to get into cyber security. I also have Security+ and hackthebox/tryhackme experience. But I barely get any interviews for IT/helpdesk, and the majority for some reason dont even follow up at all and flat out ghost me.
I’ve been thinking on pivoting to Engineering and go back to school to enroll in an Electrical Engineering Masters degree which I my university allows so long as you have a somewhat relevant degree in STEM. Engineering should have better prospects and I always liked engineering. But I know it’s a lot of commitment and I don’t want to end in similar position I am in now
