Rebuilding after major career disaster

I am a bit nerdy and my job is a very weird one in a niche market. I will do everything I can to keep this vague.

A work conflict enraged a colleague and they went scorched earth, bad mouthing me to everyone, and I was fired for bogus reasons, no chance to explain, just fired. Three days later, I got an email listing all the reasons why I was fired. None of them were true. In fact, had the boss asked me, I would have told her, but I was never asked. (Sometimes that is how it goes.) The basic unequal relationship meant I had no choice. So, rather than correct the boss' perception of me, I just walked away sadly.

Well, now I cannot find a job in my field even with decades of experience. I know that everyone experiences set backs and I am trying my best to bounce back. I'm in the low part right now and facing uncertainty. And I'm essentially alone in this cuz I am nerdy and shy and quiet. I'm planning my comeback and truly trying to make a go of it solo. These things just take time. But in the meantime, I'm working on myself, getting my ducks in a row and just trying to put myself back together. Any advice for those who have lost their jobs due to essentially narcissistic bullying?
