Hi, Im a senior student still in high school but I've been wanting to work so I don't need to bother my parents whenever I'd like to buy something. I haven't been successful in the job market i've applied for casual and part-time roles at local retailers not one application turned into an interview for a while I stopped decided I'd wait until I do mandatory work experience so I have some attractive experience on my resume. I still have seek and indeed installed on my phone so often times when I'm scrolling I'll see notifications I saw the opening for a casual position at a local retailer which I saw no harm in applying for, unexpectadly I was emailed tge next day that I was selected for a pre-recorded interview. I had never heard of anything like this until today but my understanding was that its a normal interview just I record it and a manager reviews it and chooses like that. Once i finished the interview which in it self was 3 simple questions asking about me and what i bring to the environment, and at the end it said within a day they will review and see if i qualify for an interview..
Basically what im asking is, was the pre-recorded interview a formality is it basically the same as being ghosted by everyone else is ot normal for pre-recorded interviews to happen before a in person interview. Hoenstly i was struggling during the interview i didnt read off a script leading to long pauses and a lot of umms and sometimes repeated information. What should i expect should I keep my spirits high or keep my expectations low?
