I work in a consultancy company. I used to have to think and analyse and look things up, do research but now all I do is ask ChatGPT to do everything for me, I review quickly and then send what I do to my boss, who also reviews what I did with ChatGPT and sends me the ChatGPT comments, I then put the comments in my own ChatGPT and it ‘corrects’ whatever it’s brother said could be improved and we go back and forth like that.
It started as a ‘we can win time like this’ to now being chained by AI because I will never be able to work as fast as it, and at the same time, it has also made me extremely lazy. I feel like I have become dumb, my brain is not challenged at all, all day… when I was a student, I was working at the archives of my university where I was scanning things all day because they were trying to digitalise all of their documents, and my aunt had said me back then that this was a good example of why I needed to study to have a good (interesting) job, but I find myself in a job that is honestly as intellectually stimulating as scanning documents for 8 hours.
I am only in my 30s, but I feel like I am spiraling thinking about the my future.. I cannot be doing this for much longer. I hate that AI took everything over, we are not allowed to think anymore, because we are not fats enough.
I need to quit and start a new career where AI is not present I hate it.
