My company is silently? looking for my replacement

I truly think they think I am dumb and do not know anything.

I overheard my coworker asking my manager if they knew my position was listed on the internal jobs board. He was only a few feet away from me. I looked over very briefly and my manager looked at him with caught/ mildly panicked eyes and slightly shrugged and mumbled something. My coworker continued talking about the other positions listed clearly not realizing the situation.

I went to a meeting room, checked the job board, and sure enough it was there. For reference, traditionally only one person does my role at my company. So, it is surely to replace me. I realized my job was posted almost a month prior.

The job was posted exactly two weeks after I had a heart to heart with my manager and told him my dad had cancer and I was struggling. It can take a bit of time before HR approves job postings so they probably started right away. I noticed my work quality had been slipping for the couple of weeks prior to telling him so I wanted to let him know my situation. You can say what you want but I don’t regret doing that. However, if you really like your job, I can’t say I recommend that for every manager. I also can’t say if it was related, but the timing is insane.

To continue, I saw that one of the assholes I work with was the hiring manager so I know at least him, my manager, and the senior manager know as well as HR members. Now, I am wondering who else knows. And, who was involved in this decision?

I keep having flashbacks of things they have said to me this past month and it feels fake and icky now. Every time I interact with them now, I am finding it hard to be friendly. The energy suck having to act even more than before is tiring me to another level. I am finding it hard to have motivation to continue working but I am pushing through for now as if everything is normal.

That is my rant. I will update soon.
