Might get kicked out because I havent been able to find another job

Graduated in 2023, worked with the same company until January of last year when they laid me off. Found work again in June of last year only for them to let me go because they didn’t have enough work to justify keeping me. So now I’ve been unemployed for 6 months once again.

I stay with my sister. She’s travel nursing and when I came back initially (before losing my first job) I was responsible for all bills except the mortgage. It was fine at the time since I had that money and more. Now I don’t. She says she’s tired of me being here if she’s having to help with the bills. It’s her house, etc etc.

So she’s told me if im not going to try to find a job I can just get out.

Obviously im trying to find a job. Im working full time in retail right now so im still able to pay most of the bills but i do need to ask her for help some months if i want to actually eat a meal everyday.

Shes 46 im 26 so there’s a very obvious disconnect. My sister works hard and shes done everything she can and more for me. So I understand where she’s coming from. But I don’t know how else to explain to her that jobs aren’t like rocks. I can’t just go outside and pick one up.

Times are so much different and she’s never been without a job, so she sees my struggle as me just being lazy. Nothing I say can change her mind. It’s funny, we watched on the news they were talking about how a much larger percentage than usual of new college grads have yet to find work. She scoffed and said it’s because kids don’t even want to work nowadays. “They just want to sit at home like you” (me).

Idk what to do. This shit is not only putting a strain on me myself but also my relations with family.
