I was reading this in a masters union newsletter recently and it kinda stuck with me. the idea was simple, staying loyal at one company for years might earn you trust and respect… but not necessarily better pay and honestly, it hit a bit too close. Seeing people switch jobs and get 30–40% hikes while internal increments stay pretty average makes you question things. feels like loyalty is valued… just not in compensation
