Looking for suggestions on my new position!

Hello, folks! First thing's first, about me, I have been in the same field for more than 20 years (I'm a web developer). in all that time, not one single time did I aspire to be a manager or a lead or anything. To me, managers give all the fun, cool shit to run-o-the-mill 1099s to just pump out.

WELL. This week I got a promotion and am now the web team lead.

Like I said, I've never done this kinda thing and it's not something I ever considered to be my jam, but hell, I'm willing to try it out and see how it goes. It's not that I think I'm gona suck at it, I don't. But I'm super intimidated right now cuz I just don't know anything about managerial duties.

Anyway, what advice would you give someone in my position? Tools you'd use? Sites you'd bookmark? Softerware to look into? A particular method of rewarding employees for their good work?

Earlier today, I got an email from the big boss, but it wasn't really an email. It was a notification from our PMS. For ME. Telling me to calculate and send a 1099 their quarterly bonus.

I read that and INSTANTLY felt out of my depth. So like, I'm really treading water here. Help me. :D
