I’ve posted a lot here about my crazy job journey. I was working at a big4 and absolutely hated it but ended up getting a job at a huge bank! I was on cloud 9. I got red flags during the interview process but ignored everything cause this seemed too good to be true. I commute 1 h and 30 on a good day for this job and spending a fortune on gas until I can move in august. The job is NOT what I thought it’d be. The training was rushed and the one thing I said I didn’t have experience on is what I do 95 % of the time…there’s so many things I need to look out for and pay attention to and my notes are insane. The guy that was helping me went on vacation for 2 weeks..the other girl I was doing work with went on vacation for two weeks at the same time….i was stuck doing stuff I barely knew how to do and my boss was pissed cause I needed too much support…anyway today I sent a report for review and got no response from the avp to confirm gtg…boss was mad and said just send it you should know how to do this by now..so I did, it was not right (something happed with the data that I’ve never seen and didn’t realize was wrong) they scheduled a meeting and basically took all my work away besides some other reports I do…and said I’ll be doing something else.
The structure of this team is sloppy and they’re hiring a bunch of people with 0 experience which makes getting help harder cause everyone’s busy..my boss literally said himself he was too busy to help on the weeks where I was drowning. I think for someone who just started March 30 is doing pretty good for all the work they’ve thrown on me…I’ve got so much experience working on teams with sloppy structure and bad leadership i feel like this is a huge red flag. So this is when I need some opinions.
Do you think I’m being overdramatic about wanting to quit? This is a very nice company and I’ve wanted to work here since I moved here. It’s only been 3 months but it’s 3 months of garbage. What should I do? I was at the last two jobs I’ve had for less than 2 years each so it looks bad that I leave this one after only 3 months..
