Just want to share my sad news.

After getting laid off in '23 I ended up with a contract job a couple years later(ie last year) contract ended a couple months ago. And yet again am on the job hunt.

I had a real interview for a position that would've paid me more then I had ever made in my life. First position was 17 an hour second bumped up to $20 an hour and this position was around $54 an hour. So legitimately life changing pay.

I managed to score an interview and impressed them so much they fast tracked me to the final stage, saying all sorts of things about my background, experience, and they appreciated I went out of my way creating a spec sheet for the specific position without even being asked. So I figured I had the job in the bag.

Got to the second interview and I just don't know what happened with me. Maybe I got in my head cause of the pay, or my nerves finally caught up to me, or this interviewer just wasn't giving me anything in the way the first interviewer was. Long story short I absolutely bombed the interview and almost immediately I got a followup email saying they moved on.

And I know I choked cause after the first interview they pulled down the listing. After the second one it's now back up. Just feeling so bummed cause I had it in hand and just choked. I think maybe I need confidence classes or therapy or whatever cause I don't think I'm good at interviews in general. I get in my head, I over speak and sometimes just don't effectively answer the question. The fact I even dominated the first interview was even a shock to me with just how smooth it was. Wish I could capture that again.
