I really wish this was AI slop or a bot but I was hired as a contractor this week at a Government office here in the US. I had to go through a lot of background checks and clearances for this job and it is a county job.
On day one, my boss said she is buying semaglutide online for extra money. I know nothing about weight loss medications as I am currently not on them and not diabetic.
She told me in training that we "don't get paid enough" and on the weekends she orders semaglutide or whatever tirzepatide ingredients needed to make Ozempic and mixes them in her kitchen to sell to people in the office. I basically checked out while she was talking about this because she also offered to sell me the weight loss drug which made me want to quit on the spot.
I don't even know what is in this stuff and I would absolutely NEVER buy some random drug she purchased from China and mixed in her kitchen.
I'm quite disgusted by the whole thing and she told me she's selling it to the staff in the office and "don't tell anyone". She doesn't even wait until break time to collect people's money and bragged about how many people she is selling to. When I got home from work last night, she texted me asking if I changed my mind about buying it.
Should I just mind my own business?
