Jobs that are actually in demand

These are the jobs that pay a livable wage and are actually in demand based on my personal experience.

Doctor
Book ahead 2 to 3 weeks just to get an appointment with a GP.
Posters on the wall in the hospitals and clinics apologizing for labor shortages.
Nursing
Friends of mine found jobs easily (after getting a nursing degree).
Blue collar trades (electrical, plumbing, instrumentation, etc...)
Harder to get an appointment than a doctor.
Pay a crazy emergency fee if you need them immediately.
Friends from high school found jobs easily.
Elevator Mechanic
This deserves its own category because it is the most in demand job. If you know anyone in the industry or you have a broken elevator (I have seen both sides), you know what I am talking about.
Truck driver
Friends from high school found jobs easily.
Tons of overtime hours.
Engineering
This one is a mixed bag. It really depends on the type of engineering and the area they live in.
