I am/was interviewing for an associate director position at a pharmaceutical company. I’ve had 4 interviews (recruiter, hiring manager, then 2 panel interviews with some of the extended team).
2 days after the first panel interview, I noticed that the job was reposted. I thought maybe this was automatic since it had been about 2 months since it was first posted.
I was told a decision would be made by end of July, but it had been two weeks since the last panel interview and I didn’t receive an offer or a rejection. I followed up with the recruiter and he basically said they’re interviewing additional people and have decided to extend the timeline.
Has anyone been in a similar situation before and still got an offer? I’m obviously not the top pick but I still have a sliver of hope since they haven’t rejected me yet. Am I naive to still have hope 😩
