I thought the never mention you have a disability until you get a job line was a inside joke. But I aced my interviews and was basically told if you pass your police check you should have a job. My police check came back clean. Then they asked me if I had a disability and said yes. Now it's been 2 months and I haven't heard a peep from the job. It was a contract that ends in october and now its almost August and I haven't heard anything back.
So is it true that you should never tell a company you have a disability until after you get a job? I thought companies would be able to look that stuff up, so I was anxious to lie about it.
