I’ve noticed that some jobs (either at places I worked or outside companies) will have applicants go through interviews, but for different reasons, hiring managers never select anyone. The position remains open (sometimes for months to years) and I start to wonder if they’re ever going to select anyone.
I also feel this as an external applicant whenever I have applied to jobs and made it to in-person interviews, only to see that the posting remains open for weeks to months, occasionally being reposted under a new Req number.
Are they even looking for real people at this point?
