"Over the past several months, I stepped away from my role due to a sudden and significant family emergency. In May, my father was diagnosed as terminally ill, and his final wish was to return to his home country. I made the decision to leave my position on short notice so I could be with him and support him during his final months.
After his passing, I took time away to grieve and focus on my mental health through counselling and treatment. This period has been profoundly difficult, yet it has allowed me the space to heal and regain clarity about the work and environment in which I thrive.
I am now prepared to return to the workforce and re-engage in my career within the <...> industry, and I am currently open to new opportunities. I am grateful for the understanding shown by those who were aware of my circumstances, and I would also like to reconnect with former colleagues whom I left abruptly during that time.
