I keep embarrassing myself at work. I work at a pretzel and ice cream place. Some lady came in yesterday asking how our mini pretzels come. And I explained to her that are mini pretzels come in rows of 5. She said I’ll take 10. So I bagged them up in a big bag and put 10 rows of mini pretzels. She then explains once I’m done bagging them “Oh no!!! I’m sorry I meant 10 pretzels” I felt so stupid. Maybe I’m overthinking but It was so embarrassing. I put the pretzels back and handed her the 10 pretzels and walked away and let my coworker ring her up because I was too embarrassed. I feel so stupid. I know everyone is saying it takes time but it’s my first job ever and I feel like I can’t do anything right. I’m slow at my job too when it’s supposed to be fast pace. Im new to the working field in general but I feel like I can’t do anything right. Even counting change like coins I’m terrible at. I know it takes time to learn but am I just overthinking it or do I really just suck at my job?
