I just got fired

I just got fired from my job today. I’ve been with the company for almost 5 years never had any issues, few write ups here and there but nothing major. Back in August I had a knee injury, I’ve been on FMLA leave since. Over the last couple months I’ve been going to physical therapy and following what they say. My Dr has kept me out of work to focus on my pt and get better. My PT gave me a list of home exercises to do. Last week there was an anonymous tip sent to my employer that I was “faking” my injury. This opened an investigation in which my employer stated that I’m in violation of my work restrictions because I’m preforming my pt exercises at home. My Dr and PT have both made statements saying I’m well within my boundaries but my employer wouldn’t consider that because it violates my restrictions. I’m looking around for a lawyer to see if there’s any form of wrongful termination. In the meantime what do I do? I’ve never been fired before. Luckily my wife still has her job but it’s going to be tough on one income. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
