I've been out of work since August (voluntarily quit after saving up enough money that I could finally relax for a small portion of my adult life) and now I've applied for a job I really want.
It's a car detailing shop which as a gentleman in the manual labor racket, I am more than qualified for. At my previous job that I held for 5 years I did many of the same types of things - working with a pressure washer, doing paperwork, and so on. I am qualified for this.
My sister works there and told me that 2 (TWO!) positions opened up so I applied. She's my rock, and I'd love nothing more than to work with her.
It's 40 hours per week, great pay, a bonus at the end of every month in the hundreds, and benefits!
I need this. My heart has been pounding since I sent in my resume. I'll get updates this week and hopefully and email back from the company, and a phone interview, which god-willing will translate into an in-person interview.
