I got offered a role, but I feel guilty about it.

I just got offered a role in this crazy job market for 25k more than I am making now, which any 25 year old would be excited about, but instead, all I feel is guilt.

I don’t like my current job and have been looking for new opportunities for a while now, but I just received the offer letter for this new role and it requires me to start extremely soon (9/14 ). Therefore, I would not be able to effectively give a two week notice. My connections at my current job might be severed due to not giving a 2 weeks, but at the same time I don’t really like my current team. But, I will miss everyone I manage so much and don’t want to leave them behind. I’m sitting here crying because i feel so bad that i may be leaving people out to dry, even though they have done that to me time and time again and that’s why i wanted to leave in the first place.

The craziest part is I’ve been dreaming about this day for 11 months, the day where I get a new offer and can put in my resignation. I clearly have a problem with putting myself first. I know I have to take this new role because it would extremely, extremely stupid not too, but I fear the repercussions of doing so. Need advice. Someone tell me to buck the f*ck up!

Update: if I cried when I give my 1 week notice would they forgive me?🤣
