Hey guys!
Just wanted to add some positivity to this thread… I moved back to the city I lived in for a while, and started applying like crazy in the first week and a half.
I landed 3 interviews: one hired me on the spot, one called and asked me to do a trial shift, and one called me 2 days after the interview to offer me the position!
I thought about it all night and finally decided on the best option for my goals. I accepted the job yesterday! 🥳
So I just want to say: don’t give up! Apply as much as you can but also rework your resume if you’re not getting interviews. I had a “pretty” resume but it was too busy and wasn’t getting past the AI filters, so I made a more boring but keyword loaded one and the offers started coming.
For reference I am an entry level culinary graduate with limited prior experience after being a stay at home Mom for a long time. The job I accepted will give me a direct path to becoming a sous chef someday! (Which is my dream) 🩷
