I moved to Köln Germany in October last year. I'm studying for my masters program here while learning German on my own. I'm studying international business but I have experience in journalism, online marketing, poster making, sales and customer service, digital character designing. I was told by many people that I won't struggle too bad when it came to looking for student jobs. Months have passed and I'm starting to feel so hopeless. My lack of German skills already disqualify me for most positions. I used to use digital art commissions but Ai art has killed that market too. I worked so hard in college to get a 3.8/4 GPA but I can't do anything with it because it feels like starting over in a new country while I'm studying for my masters. I've even went into some offices and stores in person to speak to their managers and owners, looking for any potential options. Nothing has worked out. I don't know if I'll have enough money at the end of the year to continue my study program, or if I'll have to just go back to my 3rd world country and be a bum who wasted time and money.
