It sucks because I’m trying to find an entry level job so I can start building my resume after graduating college but I keep getting automated rejections. I’ve gotten so desperate that I applied to some familiar retail stores just to see if anyone will pick me up.
And I actually have gotten a few call backs recently. But when I get to the interviews, I’ve discuss how the only experience I have on my resume after graduating has mostly been non-paid student assistant roles and volunteering which doesn’t feel like real work experience when I say it out loud. Then I get a rejection the next few days saying that they found a better candidate.
It just sucks because I have a degree but I don’t meet the qualifications for either entry level jobs or retail.
What am I doing wrong?!
