Hey Reddit, I don’t have anybody to ask so I’m coming to Reddit. I am between two jobs, one is union and one is not. The one job is for Chipotle, not union, but pays three dollars an hour more and is walking distance from me right now when I don’t have a car.
The other job is working in a cafeteria at a local hospital, that is the union job, but it pays three dollars an hour or less than Chipotle. It would be more challenging to get home at Upstate because it is not in walking distance and I would have to take an Uber on the days I have a late shift. But I’ve never had a union job and I’m not sure if it would be worth it.
I feel like the union job would probably be better long-term, but Chipotle would work better for me right now and potentially long-term if I was able to move stores. I’m just not sure what to do.
