I work a remote tech job. Pays well, great schedule M-Th. Seems like the perfect set up but I genuinely do nothing all day. I attend/lead the meetings I’m supposed to be in but that takes maybe a few hours a week. Other than that it’s working tickets that no joke take maybe a minute to complete.
I swear to pass the time I’ve been going to the gym and meal prepping so I guess I got that going for me, but I truly feel zero passion for this type of work at all. I don’t think I’m gaining any skills either. Main reason I stay is because this market is brutal and a lot of management is older and close to retirement so I’d assume it would be easier for me to promote if the time came. Anyone else got a job like this????
