I am a mom. I am 31. I have had several times in the past where interviewers would ask me "do you have kids?" They are not suppose to ask that during interviews. I did not get asked about that this time but I still tried to make sure I didn't tell anyone at my job about my personal life. I worry about being fired if they find out i have a kid. My kid is gonna be 3 soon. I also worry they might figure it out on their own even if I don't tell them or i worry i might have admit it by accident during a conversation. I really don't want to be discriminated against just for being a mom. It's not fair for employers to discriminate for that. But also, i don't look my age. A lot of people assume i am in my 20's and then they look shocked when I tell them I am a mom. Almost as if they thought i was a teen mom or something.
