I received this email 30 minutes after applying for a video editor role on Linkedin today.
An enticing 'Only around 5% of the applicants progress to this stage' to make me feel good about my application and the AI that likely reviewed it.
They want a Practical Task before moving forward: A 90 second video edit of something I didn't bother to read, to instead, apply for this job again with another email to test something out before investing any time in this.
But this time in the application, I uploaded a photo of a donkey from google images instead of my resume. I also selected the worst answers on the application, and clicked submit.
Guess what I received 30 minutes later? The same email as above. A very larger 5 percent if you ask me.
I will 100% call out the company and agency doing this as I think more people need to do the same:
