I have never had to put in my two weeks at a job before. I mean technically I have but other jobs I have had to quit knew it was coming because I was either graduating highschool or college. I am pretty close with my boss and am afraid of how to go about this…
Also for my new job they are aware I have to give my current job a two week notice before starting. Could anyone give insight on if it would look bad if I ask them to start a few days after the official two week mark. I want to go home and visit family for a few days before I start the hustle of a new job because I won’t have PTO for the first 4 months. If so, how could I word this in a professional way without flat out saying that? Basically I would be telling them I can start 3 weeks from now instead of 2, but with it now being more towards the end of a week I think it could be better formed
