Recently was put on a final warning that also functions as a PIP. Came with explanations of what I had done wrong; while some of it was correct, there were some nitpicks (and even some fabrication) in there as well. For additional context, the goals outlined in the pip are attainable. For an entire week, I had not been given any work to do, but just now, was assigned two critical tasks, the more difficult of which my manager let me know I could reach out to a few very specific people if I had questions. Though recently I had switched to this role from another, and was given an “employee and arbitration” agreement presumably as part of switching the role (but was given a month after i actually switched roles, which also involved pay changes reflected at the beginning of the month, the role name is exactly the same but was placed on different team with bonus). The first thing I did when receiving it was compare it to the original one I got for this job, and noticed one glaring difference: the company now reserves the right to collect and analyze biometric data. The time between when I received the agreement and when I received the pip was 12 days. I had taken a 1 week vacation after receiving the letter, and received the pip the following Monday. For additional context, my manager has scheduled a weekly 1-on-1, but had to cancel the most recent one as I was not assigned anything (but noted in the pip that these will be used to discuss what changes are being made on my behalf). I am pretty certain this is the end of the road for me, but want some feedback on if I should interpret this differently.
