So last December I was unexpectedly terminated from my contract. I literally had no idea why. Well, I ran into my former boss this week at Publix and he explained that it wasn't due to behavioral, ie bad behavior. Apparently someone blabbed about the fact that I fell asleep one time due to me suffering from debilitating insomnia (currently being tested for a mild form of narcolepsy). My former boss did not want to kick me out, but at the same time, they did more or less reduce the role I was in, and so he didn't fight it. He felt I should be in a position that's more aligned with my skills, as I was there just to fill out getting one year of experience.
He did however fight to have me paid half time for the remaining contract as I literally did way more than my job was required and fixed a lot of issues with the position. However he did have to settle with me being eligible for rehired and paid me through the rest of December.
