Just got my tentative offer for a job I've been subbing for. I bonded with the students and staff dang near immediately and have been literally running to accept subbing positions for them. The students were urging me to apply because they wanted me as their teacher and I wanted that as well so I was keeping a look out. They opened an opening for the position since it's been vacant, I applied, interviewed, and made sure to explain that I'd be happy in any position they gave me but I really wanted this specific class. I got the tentative offer today for the class I wanted as well as like $3 more than I was expecting, and when I went in to sub I told my supervisor and both her and another teacher were very happy, she then admitted that they made the decision during my interview but she couldn't tell me. Later when I was signing out, the Administrator came in and made a whole deal to tell my supervisor that she has a new person on her team, that they accepted the offer and were starting soon then told her my name, they both giggled and while I finished signing out, I laughed, and looked up to him reaching out to shake my hand. They both expressed their excitement that I was joining the team, I expressed my excitement and thanked them for giving me the class I was wanting, all around amazing process, amazing people! I literally just completed my onboarding paperwork and sent it in, I just wanted to share my good news.
