Won't make this long. After 4 interviews, they suddenly added in a last minute 5th one with the CEO. 5 days later the recruiter calls to say the CEO ultimately denied me, despite the 4 other interviewers absolutely loving me. His feedback? "He seems a bit too ambitious, and handles tasks on his own instead of using support". Uh..... for asset management isn't that exactly what you want? Am I supposed to say im never going to want my career to advance at 30 years old? Or that I cant handle tasks without needing others? Huh?
Absolutely floored. Never been denied a job post interview in over a decade of working. Even the recruiter said she was completely baffled at his reasoning.
