I'm 21 and I've only had two jobs before. My most recent one was temporary, I quite liked it but it ended so I'm out on the job one. My first one I utterly despised, it paid well and I got hired for it on the spot BUT it was a petitioning job with a high quota you were expected to meet in 3 days or else you were immediately terminated, which is what happened to me. Lack of training aside I honestly don't think their methods were very successful, this job had me approaching people alone in a hot parking lot asking them to sign my petition which they didn't seem to like very much. They often told you to counter this by being more aggressive. This company had also hired other young people in my city and almost none of them have good things to say about it, I was even speaking with an acquaintance about this experience and I expressed being nervous about having to put in my resume and including in my work history he told me to just not. And honestly? I've been taking his advice. I hate being dishonest, but it taking two years and me moving cities to find my first ever job has made me kind of jaded towards the modern hiring process. I'm a bit worried though, will I get caught?
