Hey everyone, thought I'd come on here for some help. I'm a beauty therapist and I'm currently in TAFE acquiring all my certificates and diplomas. (to get a job in beauty you need a cert 3/4 and diploma of beauty therapy) I'm 16, i dropped out of high school in year 10 December 2024, to become a beauty therapist, so i've been in and out of TAFE courses the past year. During this time I've tried to get jobs ANYWHERE for anything (other than fast food cause it makes me sick) I've applied for job from Goulburn to the CBD to Wollongong, I've changed and edited my resume multiple times. I never get emails back let alone interviews, in the past year I've had an interview at spotlight, a cafe, a kebab shop (i got the job but they guy was a perv), two beauty places for apprenticeships, and i have an upcoming job trial at a restaurant. I ended up getting a job June-July last year but they guy was a dick and never paid me, he owed me $500, and i was meant to take him to court but couldn't afford a lawyer. Other than that I've had experience in two beauty salons but thats all.
I'm actually so done applying for jobs at this point, I've been rejected from dominos 5 times in the past year and i have a friend who works there that keeps telling her boss to hire me, I've been rejected from colse and woolies MULTIPLE times. I've applied to jobs online, emailed places, called them up, gone in and handed them my resume and talked to the managers. AND NOTHING. and i so desperately need a job, to pay for my TAFE fees, to buy tampons and pads, to buy petrol, just general necessities. honestly how are so many places hiring but never actually hiring? hello wtf hows that work? i don't know what to do anymore and I LOVE working so much, but work doesn't love me i guess. and my parents have had the shits with me all year because i dont have a job. EVERY DAY i get a lecture about how i have to hurry up and get a job. hello im trying ive been trying, like gosh it wasnt as easy as it was 50 years ago. and everything ai now even the whole application shit why the fuck is ai assessing me to see if im fit for a job? are we actually serious? ai is determining if i get a job or not? how the fuck does ai have a job and i dont?
anyways need some advice, cause im actually pissed off at this point
