Hiiii as the title suggests i need an advice from you all. Before that let me explain this. In the current company that I’m working in there’s no mention of notice period in my offer letter. I researched about it only to find out that the notice period can be 30 days or lesser than that. I didn’t ask my management because I didn’t want to tell them that I’m finding alternatives. Last month I received an offer. They gave me this month’s last week as joining. I was so happy because my struggle came to an end after 1.3 years. I dropped my papers on Thursday. One more thing, this company let other people go after serving 30 days even though they had to serve more than that. My manager was nonchalant about it. My CEO on the other hand is not ready to let me go. He called me yesterday and said did you commit anything ? If so tell them that it’s 60 days. I was like wait a minute there’s no notice period in my letter, how can I serve 60 days. Mind you I already requested for a shorter notice period in the mail. I’ve a meeting on Tuesday regarding this. I genuinely need your help to tackle this situation. I don’t want to lose this opportunity and I want to immediately come out of my current company.
