I may be overthinking this but I don't know, this is my first job 😠I had an interview for a retail job. I wasn't informed about it being a Christmas Casual role until during the interview, but as I am still a teenager looking for experience l'm not really bothered by it being a temporary job.
Two weeks later I received an offer for the job via email that included employment forms and a detailed offer letter. I was told to reply by the 18th (today) if I chose to accept to which I did on the 13th, including all of my forms. I was also told that I would receive an email from their training as well as their rostering platform WITHIN three days, though I am yet to receive any information from them. In the email, I was told to contact my hiring manager if I hadn’t gotten anything back. So yesterday, I called the store to inform them about this and an employee picked up. Though, the manager was busy so I gave them my name and phone number and was told that l'd get a call from them in about half an hour. No response. I decided to send them a follow up email about 2 hours later.
I guess I'm stressing out a bit after hearing people being ghosted after their job offers. I just don't understand why I haven't gotten a response to my emails. Help? 🥲 I was told that the anticipated start date is on the 22nd which is in 4 days. I know this isn’t a confirmed date, but I’m worried because I haven’t gotten an email from the rostering/training platforms.
